Homemade Hair Conditioner Recipes - Moisturize, Soften and Restore Your Hair
A hair conditioner is a term that means more than one thing.
The first and foremost purpose of it is to moisturize the hair and the scalp. Due to external influences and also internal body reactions (hormones, stress...), the skin on our head reacts differently. The most common reaction is dryness.
In homemade hair conditioners, ingredients like avocado and olive oil act as humectants. They trap in the moisture and keep it locked so that the hair shaft can receive the moisture it needs.
Combining them with natural hair care products also is a great way to help and restore damaged hair. It coats the shaft and protects it, infusing it with nourishing elements that help its resilience and shine.
Nourishing hair conditioner is specifically used for dry hair and dry scalp. It has oils that don't leave a greasy residue, but still provide enough moisture for hair to shine and look healthy.
You could always choose to buy a shampoo, but there are homemade recipes that are cheaper to make and all natural. Oily hair shampoo and conditioner target the excess oil that causes the hair to become oily. On the other side, there are dry hair shampoo recipes which restore the moisture and prevent dry, flaky skin of the scalp.
They are often used as detanglers, coating the hair shaft with polymers that prevent it from sticking together and tangling up.
The best conditioner is the one that give the best results when used on your hair. There is no way to tell the specific hair conditioner will be "the one". You need to try them and see which one fits you best.
To finish off, use a hair rinse which will boost up the natural shine and volume.
The first recipe helps moisturize the hair. The avocado is a moisturizing element and together with mayonnaise added it is perfect for dry, brittle hair.
Avocado hair moisturizer
Ingredients
* 1/4 avocado, peeled and mashed
* 1/4 mayonnaise
* blender or food processor
Preparation
* Combine avocado and mayonnaise in a blender or food processor until the mass is consistent and smooth
* Apply on hair and cover with a shower cap
* Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes
* Rinse off with a gentle shampoo
Deep conditioner
Ingredients
* 3-4 drops of essential oils of your choice
* 1 teaspoon of olive oil
* 1 egg
Preparation
* Beat the egg
* Mix in the rest of the ingredients
* Apply on the hair and leave on for 15 to 20 minutes
* Rinse off using a gentle shampoo
This hair conditioner helps moisturize (olive oil) and soften your hair (egg). You can keep it refrigerated in a plastic container with a lid. Shake it well before using it.

African American Hairstyles - Braids Or Weaves?
The styles and numbers of African American hairstyles are limitless. There is short hair, long hair, curly hair, wavy hair, braided hair and the styles go on and on. But why are there so many?
The African American hairstyles are limitless. Majority of African Americans do not show their real hair. Women wear wigs and hair pieces. You seldom will see an African American sporting their actually hair. Their hair is so course that they only get it washed once a week and sometimes if it is an important occasion.
Braids and weaves are the most popular among the African American culture. Weaving is process where other hair that matches the person's actual hair color is weaved or glued to their real hair. They can make their normal hair style go from 2 inches up to 10 inches in a matter of hours. Women, men and children will sit for hours just to get their hair done. It has been known that even the youngest of children a few months old will go through this process.
Braids are another popular style which can take multiple hours to do. Depending on the length of the hair already it can take up to 12 hours just to get all the braids done. Braiding is a style which any age or sex can get done. It uses the real hair or they glue other braids in with their real hair to make a more dramatic effect.
African American's have so many hairstyles that it is hard to list them all. African Americans hair gets a whole lot greasier and oilier than most white or Caucasian American's. They use cocoa butter and products that contain heave oils to make their hair appear greasy. They believe that washing their hair often causes it to break and get dry which makes it fall out.
The African American hairstyles are endless but the African Americans are famous for their hairstyles it's what makes them unique.

The 70s Theme Will Bring Back Big Hair And Disco
A 70s theme should include bell bottoms, rock and roll, long hair on boys and girls, bean bag chairs, all things disco, or Farrah Fawcett dos...These things are all the stuff of which a great 70s theme party is made!
Tye dyed shirts, rainbows, afro and hippie wigs, fringed, raveled jeans with extra wide bells...these things defined a nation as change and controversy rang bells, changed lives, and created a generation of the best and brightest with ideals over the moon, and ambition to match!
All these things can combine to create a 70s theme sure to give your guests a real blast from the past!
Hang a disco ball, put on the movie "Staying Alive" or any disco CD, and do the Latin Hustle Bump, wearing your famous throw back leisure suit and printed nylon shirt, or bell bottom wranglers, and dance the night away to a decidedly 70s beat! Look back in time with a classic 70s theme trivia game.
Always a good choice for 70s theme party games, Name that song, seventies style, or a karaoke/disco dance contest! Just play snippets of songs or movie or T.V. themes, and let guests guess which music matches which song or show! The guest who gets the most correct answers wins the prize. Another option is to play a snip of a song, stop the music, and see if the guest whose turn it is can finish the lyric!
Serving period foods, candies, and drinks really can be a huge hit at 70s theme parties. Fondue featuring chunks of smoked sausage or bread chunks dipped into melted cheese fondue, or fruit or angel food cubes dipped into chocolate are great choices. Bowls or baskets of period candies like Marathon bars, Caravelle bars, or even Ding Dongs, and Mello Yello or apple beer can surely take your guests back into the 70s!
